Kamuzinda Children’s Village

Molly & Paul

The Children’s Village is part of the Molly & Paul Childcare Foundation, founded by Molly and Paul Wasswa, a Ugandan couple, in 1983. Their mission is to provide for needy children and their families through education, food, healthcare and shelter.

Farm School

A collection of buildings right on the boundary of the village, the Farm School complex includes one of the orphanage homes, Emmanuel House, as well as staff offices, classrooms and the various animal enclosures. Main livestock include pigs, cows, chickens and goats but there are also a few rabbits and other poultry for educational purposes.

The various fields surrounding the Farm School are planted with maize, sweet potatoes, ‘Irish’ potatoes, kasava, bananas, coffee and a host of other fruits and vegetables. Along with the farming and animal husbandry, there is a carpentry workshop and tailoring room.

Children’s Homes
There are 10 children’s homes, each with about 20 children living under the guidance of a house mother.

Mission House
The original Mission House and an entirely new one allow up to 30 volunteers to stay in the village while on missions trips.
